Adaptive Interiors is a construction & office fit out company based in Wagga Wagga NSW.
Adaptive specialises in commercial & retail refurbishments around the 50-400 square meter range and small ground-up construction projects ranging from small office/medical buildings to amenities blocks etc. Projects mainly in Wagga or Canberra and Regional NSW.
We are looking for someone that can assist in a few areas of the business. (Or at least 1or 2 of them) Ideally looking for someone on a part-time role (3 days a week) but open to full time if required or at least upgrading to full time in due course.

- Drafting & Documentation
Ideally based in Wagga at our head office or within travel distance a day or two per week. Can accommodate working from home or flexible hours if required but must be available to discuss and meet during work hours 9am-5pm Mon-Fri. The candidate would be required to travel at times to sites in Canberra or regional NSW.
Outline of General Duties:
- Design & drafting for construction projects such as amenities blocks or small buildings
- Drafting & producing plans & documentation for office fit-out projects. Including elevations & joinery details etc.
- Help with submitting documentation for Development Applications/Complying Developments & other required certifications & documentation ready for project commencement
- Ideally (but not essential) able to provide interior design & space planning for our commercial fit-out projects.
Skills and experience
- Must have knowledge of Building Code Australia (BCA) to produce designs & plans that meet required codes & legislation
- Experience in drafting/design in the commercial area & ability to produce detailed project documentation for all types of projects. (Commercial, Health, Education, Aged Care etc)
- CAD skills and experience. Ideally, some experience in Sketchup as we currently use this for draft plans etc. e
- Competent/high level of computer skills (Windows/MS Office)
- Knowledge of locally available building materials and products for projects.
Part-time hours: 24-40 per week
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Permanent
Salary: $40.00 – $50.00 per hour
