About the Position:

3Bridges Community is currently recruiting for a full-time Manager of quality and compliance who will be responsible for The development monitor and review processes to assist the Reframing Ageing team in complying with the aged care quality standards and regulations as well as assisting in maintaining high quality services.


Essential Criteria

  • Tertiary qualification in Health Care or equivalent.
  • Strong knowledge of the New Aged Care Quality Standards, Home Care principals.
  • Knowledge and experience in quality improvement and aged care accreditation.
  • Proven experience in performing comprehensive service audits.
  • Ability to critically analyse and evaluate information;
  • Demonstrated experience in developing policies and procedures;
  • Excellent written and well-developed analytical skills;
  • Proven ability to work in busy environment, skills in time management and ability to work under pressure and meet timelines;
  • Positive attitude and good interpersonal skills;
  • Ability to work effectively in a team or independently;
  • Computer literacy with proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word/Excel/PowerPoint/Database);
  • Sound professional judgement;
  • Strong problem solving skills;
  • High degree of drive, initiative and motivation.
  • Current drivers’ license.
  • Valid Criminal Record Check

  • Formal qualification or experience in quality management\

Key Responsibilities

  • Compliance
    • Ensure necessary procedures related to Quality and Risk Management are in place to enable all staff to undertake the functions of their role and meet various quality standards.
    • Review and ensure the currency of all documentation in line with Aged Care policies including procedures, forms, process charts, handbooks and manuals.
    • Monitor the Risk Management System including incidents, hazards and customer feedback management to ensure appropriate actions have been taken and opportunities for improvement have been initiated.
    • Monitor trends and analyse performance to pre-empt possible areas of risk and non-compliance.
    • Review relevant information including risks and emerging issues to advise on necessary learning activities and develop in partnership with Service Managers education sessions to be conducted in a timely manner.
    • Review and update Home Care policies and procedures in line with new Aged Care Quality Standards;
    • Complete internal audits of aged care services against the Quality Standards and organizational processes;
    • Provide written reports of audits and assist the team to close any gaps identified by developing and overseeing action plans for improvement;
    • Assist services to prepare for external audits and engage with the Aged Care Quality and Safety Commission and the Department of Health representatives;
    • Assist with written submissions to the Aged Care Quality and Safety Commission and Department of Health as required and support management team in responding to directives issued by regulatory bodies;
    Quality
    • Monitor continuous improvement activities to ensure ongoing improvements are identified, documented and actioned in line with Aged Care Quality Standards.
    • Provide, at minimum, six monthly reports on measurable outcomes identifying trends and areas of improvement.
    • Work with the respective team to formulate an action plan based on results of evaluation.
    • Ensure external and internal complaints and feedback processes are maintained and continuously monitored and addressed by relevant staff in a timely manner;


The successful candidate will require National Police Clearance prior to appointment (completed by 3Bridges)
