Your new company

We are currently looking to appoint an experienced Project Officer to work with our Federal Government client based in Geelong for 12 months with the potential of extension.
Your new role
As Project Officer in the Royal Commissions team, your key responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:
- Gather and collate documents required under notice, ensuring appropriate consultation with document owners and subject matter experts.
- Interpret and distil information in order to provide briefings to senior leaders.
- Assist in discrete project management and coordination tasks.
- Undertake research, analyse and interpret patterns and trends, and recording findings.
- Provide thorough information and effective support to internal and external stakeholders.
- Provide administrative support for other team members, as required.
What you'll need to succeed
To be successful, you will be able to demonstrate:
- Previous experience in a similar project role, preferably within the Government Sector
- Strong communication, interpersonal and negotiation skills, with the ability to build strong stakeholder relationships
- Ability to respond to and prioritise competing tasks in a calm and efficient manner, while maintaining high standards and accuracy
- Sound judgement, with the ability to synthesise and analyse complex information
- Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information in a professional manner
- Strong IT skills, including Microsoft Office
- Australian Citizenship or Permanent Residency
Applicants with an understanding of, or experience in the field of disability, in addition to strong knowledge of aged care, disability, younger people in residential aged care and the health system will be highly regarded. Please note: This is a fast paced, constantly changing role requiring initiative, resilience and the drive to go above and beyond.
