Your new team

The Royal Melbourne Hospital (RMH) is a tertiary centre for the management of adult endocrine disorders performed by the Department of Diabetes & Endocrinology. We're seeking to employ an Endocrine Nurse to assist with the coordination of specialised endocrine investigations as well as clinical audit research to evaluate the outcomes from performing dynamic investigations.

Your success in this role, will be in your ability to

  • Perform dynamic endocrine investigations under the supervision of the Endocrinology registrar and the Endocrinologist on ward service

  • Collate the data from all endocrine dynamic testing

  • Assist in the formalising protocols for performing all dynamic endocrine investigations at RMH

  • Develop templates for the presentation of endocrine dynamic investigation data and the formal reporting of results by the Endocrine registrar and a supervising Endocrinologist

Your Contribution

  • Eligible for registration as a Division 1 Registered Nurse with a current practicing certificate with AHPRA, and minimum 3 years clinical experience.

  • Experience in the clinical endocrinology field and a desire to participate in clinical research

  • Willingness to undertake appropriate education and training to meet the needs of the position

  • Excellent cannulation and venepuncture skills

  • Ability to contribute effectively as a participative member of a multidisciplinary team

  • Excellent patient management skills

  • Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail


  • Prior health professional employment in the field of diabetes and endocrinology
