About The Role

The role of the Clinical Care Specialist is to assist and co-ordinate clinical support to a portfolio of Regis residential aged care homes that are based in Victoria.

The Clinical Care Specialist is the Subject Matter Expert who is specialist in the Clinical field providing guidance and advice to the homes in the portfolio related to clinical care.

Working closely with the General Manager and Clinical Care Manager, the Clinical Care Specialist will assist homes to ensure that a high standard of person-centred care is provided to residents, while at the same time meeting all legislative and professional standards requirements.

The role will also have full clinical oversight of a portfolio of homes, including all clinical reporting and documentation.

The Clinical Care Specialist also works with other key internal stakeholders ensuring the support is provided in a collaborative way.

Other Key Responsibilities Include

  • Assisting with recruitment and development of Clinical Care Managers within the portfolio.
  • Assisting and working with our Clinical Care Managers to coach and mentor them and Registered Nurses at each home within the portfolio.
  • Working with our clinical care managers at our homes to mentor and assist the staff in identifying risks and implementing strategies to correct and address clinical risks.
  • Assist in coaching the staff at each home in issues identified via the various Regis quality audits, troubleshoot complex clinical care scenarios and resources, and prepare weekly site reports of actions and issues.

About You
  • You are a qualified Registered Nurse with current AHPRA registration
  • You are an ambitious Clinical professional who is a proven self-starter
  • You have excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • You have a robust approach to managing your time effectively and ability to work within deadlines

Mandatory Requirements For All Candidates
  • Valid National Police Check
  • Proof of the right to work lawfully in Australia
  • Evidence that you have had the 2020 Flu Vaccination or willingness to complete this before employment can be offered*
  • The Australian Government has advised that all residential aged care staff and visiting workers should be vaccinated by 1 May 2020. This includes both current and future Regis employees.
