Cleaners Required for Community Aged Care and Disabilities Sector for Sunshine Coast
Just Better Care provides domestic services to our aged care and people with disabilities living in their homes.
Main responsibilities of the role:
Your role is to provide cleaning services to clients in their homes in accordance with prescribed routines, policies, and procedures. You will follow appropriate plans to ensure that the physical environment of the home is clean and hazard-free.
To meet the selection criteria, candidates will require:
Essential
Demonstrated knowledge of safe cleaning techniques
an understanding of the issues faced by frail aged people and people with disability
Provide an adequate level of customer service to ensure residents needs meets are met;
Ensure that participants homes are cleaned to the participant’s satisfaction
Demonstrated ability to maintain privacy and confidentiality in line with the Privacy Act
Proven ability to work independently to achieve outcomes
Proven ability to prioritise work and meet changing, priorities and meet tight timeframes
Ensure that after each service, equipment is stored away safely
Perform dusting, vacuuming, sweeping, and mopping tasks as required
Ensure bathrooms and toilets are clean
Minimise the risk of infection through appropriate cleaning/handling practices and storage of equipment;
Utilise equipment correctly, identify any potential risks and report any malfunctions
Adhere and practice correct Infection Control Guidelines
Ensure the safe storage and handling of chemicals
Use appropriate PPE - Protective Personnel Equipment as required
Desirable
Previous experience in general domestic cleaning work
ABN required
Current Police Check
Current Queensland Drivers Licence and reliable motor vehicle with valid registration and insurance
