Permanent part-time opportunity

About the role

As one of our Service Team Leaders, you will be leading and supporting a team of Home care workers and volunteers. You will enable your team to provide effective and efficient service delivery in the home care environment. Passionate about working collaboratively with your Senior Service Team Leader, you will share the on-call duties and ensure adequate resourcing.

Within the role, you will be maintaining aspects of site compliance, along with the provision of both direct care, and care management to Commonwealth Home Support, Veteran Home Care and Home Care Package clients. Welcoming your knowledge, experience and creativity, you will be a transformational leader and work collaboratively with all Home Care team members.

Based at our Little Mountain office, you will be required to regularly travel throughout the region. If you are looking for a rewarding role that has a positive impact on the lives of seniors, this might be the right opportunity for you.

Whilst this role is part time, we are flexible on the days and hours the work is performed and will happily discuss this with suitable candidates.

About you

You possess previous experience supervising staff and volunteers and have the ability to easily establish and build rapport with people. Always considering the rights of the client, you work to ensure quality and safe care services are delivered. You are able to identify client requirements and re-align services in response to identified needs. You are an exceptional communicator, both verbally, and in written form and enjoy working in a team environment.

Your experience and qualifications for the role should include:

A Certificate III in Home & Community Care or equivalent;
Must have completed HLTHPS006 - Assist clients with medication and HLTAAP001 Recognise healthy body system or willing to complete;
Demonstrated leadership experience in a similar role, preferably in the aged care sector;
Possess a current Senior First Aid Certificate with resuscitation techniques;
Current Australian Driver's Licence and your own comprehensively insured vehicle;
Applied knowledge of current aged care legislation, funding mechanisms, government policies, and statutory regulations.
Experience in case management, and the ability to identify and respond to risk
Prior experience in a customer service driven role with a sales background would be highly desirable
Proficient skills in electronic systems and have a strong understanding of computers and providing technical support to staff
