Rewarding opportunity with a well established mental health service in collaboration with our aged care service to provide tailored supports for older people who are at risk of, or have mental health issues and are experiencing social isolation and/or loneliness as a result of COVID-19 measures.

Inner northern suburbs of Brisbane

This role is all about:
Connecting older people to appropriate services and support
Reconnecting older people with social networks
Restoring access to services that may have been disrupted by the pandemic
Enabling early intervention and, where appropriate, providing psychological evidence-based therapies to improve the mental health and wellbeing of older persons
Provide information to friends, families and carers on the wellbeing of the older persons.

About the ideal candidate:
Must have extensive experience in the mental health field
Have appropriate qualifications such as NURSING, OCCUPATIONAL THERAPY, PSYCHOLOGY or SOCIAL WORK
Have demonstrated knowledge and experience supporting older people
Knowledge of relevant practical clinical assessments and interventions
A current drivers licence, blue card/yellow card and ability to obtain a police check
