The Monash Health Foundation is the Fundraising arm of Monash Health, nurturing and encouraging philanthropic support, so we can provide a positive experience for the people we care for. Our supporters provide vital equipment, research projects and patient wellbeing initiatives. Our team of fundraising professionals is here to help make a difference in the lives of Monash Health patients and staff members, supporting good health for our community.

Monash Health is the largest public health service in Victoria, employing over 18,000 people who work across 40 locations delivering healthcare services through our five hospitals and our extensive network of rehabilitation, aged care, community health and mental health facilities.

About the Role

The Community Fundraising & Events Coordinator is responsible for the successful delivery of the community fundraising & events program for the Monash Health Foundation.

Key Result Areas will include:

  • Effectively implement the community fundraising & events strategy

  • Manage a portfolio of events

  • Effectively manage relationships with key stakeholders

  • Develop and implement a suite of community fundraising event support collateral

  • Maintain an effective and up to date online fundraising portal

  • Implement processes for maximising the effectiveness of the community fundraising & events area

About You

Combining your relationship and partnership building experience with your experience and /or understanding of the NFP or philanthropic sector, your goal will be to further develop the corporate and community partnerships program to attract greater investment to support the Monash Health Foundation to achieve its ambitious fundraising goals.

On a personal level, you are:

  • Have the skills and experience to support community fundraisers;

  • Passionate about delivering high quality, impactful events;

  • Are creative, progressive and forward thinking;

  • Have the ability to maintain the highest standards of integrity and confidentiality, and exercise sound judgment;

  • Have the ability to develop and build relationships with internal and external stakeholders including staff, volunteers, supporters of the Foundation;

  • Can prioritise your own workload and demonstrated time management skills;

  • Described as high energy, with a positive, can-do attitude.

What you need:

  • An undergraduate qualification, or an equivalent, alternate combination of relevant knowledge, training and/or experience

  • Current Driver’s Licence

  • An understanding of the Australian philanthropic community

  • Experience in donor stewardship
