Latrobe Regional Hospital (LRH) is the major provider of specialist health services in the Gippsland region, east of Melbourne. Our comprehensive range of services extends to emergency and intensive care, elective surgery, allied health, obstetrics, medical and radiation oncology at the Gippsland Cancer Care Centre, dialysis and aged care.


Do you want to help parents and young infants to "delight in" each other? Do you have the passion to work with new families struggling to adjust to life with a new baby?


Latrobe Regional Hospital, based in Traralgon, is currently seeking a candidate for a 0.6 EFT Registered Nurse position within the Agnes Parent and Infant Unit.


Applicants should be Division 1 registered nurses or registered midwives or qualified Division 3 Registered Psychiatric Nurses.


Agnes Unit is a 5 bed perinatal /5 cot, seven days a week, residential unit providing therapeutic support to new parents and their infants up to 12 months of age.


The unit supports interventions that may be required for adjustment or emotional issues. This may include difficulties with bonding, sleeping and settling and/or feeding difficulties.


The RN role includes therapeutic care of parents , infants and their dyadic relationship following the Solihull model of care.


The role involves rotation through all shifts seven days a week.
