Jewish Care Victoria, a not-for-profit organisation, is the largest provider of aged and community services for the Jewish Community in Victoria. Services include Aged Residential Care, Assessment Referral and Individual Support Services, Community Aged Care, Disability, Mental Health, Youth and Family Services and Holocaust Survivors Programs. The Role

As our Head of Financial Planning & Analysis you will be responsible for the preparation and reporting of the enterprise wide financial and capital budgets, forecasts, reporting enhancements, 10 year Cash Flow, Daily Cash Flow, banking relationships and covenant reporting, ad hoc projects and any other key projects as requested by the CEO or CFO. 

The key activities of the role include, but are not limited to:

  • Lead the enterprise wide financial and capital budgeting process (including liaison with all business segments and shared services, establishing budget meetings, managing queries from the business, all reporting to CEO/COO and reporting to Board).
  • Responsible in ensuring budget is loaded into budget tool in a timely manner (currently Prophix).
  • Coordinating monthly forecasts and updating into general ledger system (currently Great Plains), as well as budget/forecast tool (currently Prophix). 
  • KPI reporting across each of the business segments.
  • Reporting of Stewart Brown and ASX listed residential aged care provider’s metrics against Jewish Care performance on a quarterly basis.
  • Responsibility for management and maintenance of the 10 Year Cash Flow (10YCF), including regular updating with all required changes and discussions with CEO and CFO.
  • Responsibility for management and maintenance of the Daily Cash Flow (DCF), including the management of regular daily updating by the Management Accountant with all required changes and discussions with CEO and CFO. 
  • Responsible for the reconciliation of the 10YCF and the DCF to identify and explain variances between both.
  • Preparation of banking covenant reporting to banks (currently quarterly) on a timely basis for the CFO.
  • Responsibility for tracking all net RAD movements for all residential aged care facilities by room type on a monthly basis.
  • Development and preparation of monthly dashboards with key reporting metrics for each business segment as part of the monthly reporting.
  • Reporting of labour management metrics for each of the business segments such as roster management efficiency in residential aged care, labour utilisation in Home Care etc.
  • Calculation of the Home Care rate for all Claims Conference reporting (currently quarterly).
  • Enhance financial and operational reporting across the business.
  • Lead, mentor and develop all direct reports, including regular appraisals and establishing KPIs on an annual basis.
