Latrobe Regional Hospital (LRH) is the major provider of specialist health services in the Gippsland region, east of Melbourne. Our comprehensive range of services extends to emergency and intensive care, elective surgery, allied health, obstetrics, medical and radiation oncology at the Gippsland Cancer Care Centre, dialysis and aged care.
LRH has a number of outstanding facilities following a recent expansion. These include a cardiac catheterisation laboratory, large Emergency Department, endoscopy suites and modern and contemporary inpatient units. These complement extensive Allied Health amenities including a gym and pool. LRH is the regional provider of mental health services in Gippsland. LRH Mental Health Service operates an integrated specialist mental health program across the region and provides inpatient and community mental health care for adults, children and young people and older persons. Gippsland provides a fantastic regional lifestyle with easy access to Melbourne. Orbost is located in the Snowy River Country, and is surrounded by history and wonderful mountains and the famous "Snowy high plains". There are wonderful forests and tourist drives.
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced and suitably qualified Community Clinician to join the Bairnsdale Community Mental Health Team at Latrobe Regional Hospital on a full time basis for 80 hours per fortnight.
Reporting to the Team Manager Bairnsdale Community Mental Health, the successful applicant will play an important role in undertaking a full range of Clinical assessments and care planning for individuals with Mental illness and their families/carers.
The successful applicant will be required to: work within the Acute Community Intensive Support team (ACIS) and within our Adult PARC when staff are on leave.
To be successful in this position you will need to have: the ability to relate to people who have complex needs, be a good problem solver and think under pressure. Have a current police check, working with children's check, current drivers license.
