About the company

Working with an organisation that holds family values at the heart of all daily decisions, whilst encouraging and supporting employees with individualised training & development. Working within their large, aged care facility within a short commute from Brisbane CBD. 

The role

As a Clinical Nurse you will be working collaboratively within the leadership team within this large, aged care facility focusing on ensuring effective Infection prevention & control (IPC) working collaboratively with the facility manager you will ensure staff are fully educated & up to date surrounding outbreak processes. 

You will provide clinical advice & guidance surrounding policy updates, audits to ensure that the service is in line with current guidelines, with the ability to offer guidance surrounding any improvements required. 

Being an excellent communicator, you will have the ability to liaise with all key stakeholders to include residents & families making sure that they are comfortable and answering any questions. 

Summary of Duties

• Provide clinical guidance to residents & care staff

• Ensure policies are up to date & reflect current standards.

• Review & follow reporting for any outbreaks

• Accurate completion of relevant documentation

• Review & update resident documentation

• Training & development of clinical team members

• Ensure compliance & quality indicators are met

Skills and Experience

• AHPRA Registered Nurse registration

• Qualifications in infection prevention & control (IPC) - desirable

• Previous experience within similar level position

• Experience with staff education

• Accreditation knowledge & experience

• Ability to identify & improve areas for improvement

• Consultative & effective communication skills
