About the opportunity:

An opportunity to be part of a dynamic 2nd Line of Defence (LoD) Risk & Compliance team that works closely with the business to advance their Risk & Compliance culture. Working across the A&NZ operations to provide objective analysis on the quality and sufficiency of regulatory compliance risk management activities.

Reporting directly to the Regulatory Engagement & Compliance Manager, the role will also support delivery of various elements of the interrelated Risk and Compliance frameworks and policies: regulatory change management; maintaining obligations registers; management and committee reporting; review challenge of compliance & risk practices of the 1LoD / business.



Key responsibilities/accountabilities:

  • Analysis to provide an independent view on the quality and sufficiency of the business's Compliance and Risk management activities.
  • Work alongside Policy Owners, Risk & 1LoD teams to provide assurance that regulatory obligations and risk are identified, documented and adequately controlled.
  • Review effectiveness of the business' system of controls to manage compliance incidents, including: prompt, effective and sustainable solutions and appropriate documentation of decisions.
  • Ensure escalation thresholds and triggers are enforced for compliance incidents.
  • Work with multiple stakeholders to ensure changed regulatory requirements are identified and communicated.
  • Support the identification, recording and monitoring of the regulatory change pipeline.



You will be/have:-

  • Tertiary qualifications in Business, Risk & Compliance Management preferred
  • 2/3 + years' experience in risk, compliance or audit analyst roles
  • Strong analytical skills to convert information / data into meaningful management information;
  • Excellent communication (written and verbal), presentation and interpersonal skills
  • Reviewing the effectiveness of managements implementation of compliance management systems and processes
  • Deep understanding of Australian regulatory environment
  • A curious mind with consultative approach to relationship management
  • Experience in compliance, quality, incident management, or process improvement
  • Experience in preparing reporting and insights to assist the business
