This is a unique opportunity for an enthusiastic individual to gain hands on experience and work closely with our friendly, knowledgeable HR Business Partners. The role is suited to a recent HR Graduate or someone with demonstrated work experience in Human Resources and a keen interest in developing your HR skills.

In this newly created role of Human Resources Coordinator you will provide support to the HR team, leaders and employees in a consistent, timely and effective manner. While this role is focused on supporting our Aged Care organisation, you will be working as part of a large National HR team, with significant learning opportunities.

We have 2 vacancies with the option to be based in our Sydney (Redfern) or Brisbane office.

About The Role

The Human Resources Coordinators will work closely with the HR Business Partners to assist Aged Care managers with HR administration and compliance, WorkDay (HCM), employee relations, recruitment and continuous improvement initiatives.

In This Role You Will

  • Provide coaching and advice on HR systems and business as usual processes -assist managers to complete tasks in Salvos WorkDay (HCM) in a timely manner, including integrity checks
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with HR Business Partners to ensure the delivery of consistent HR support that meets the needs of the organisation
  • Develop and maintain relationships with managers and employees (where appropriate) to enable the effective provision of HR support.
  • Undertake exit interviews monthly
  • Produce regular reports on key HR metrics
  • Be the first point of contact for managers on any WorkDay or HR related matter
  • Assist managers with induction, orientation and probation arrangements
  • Assist with workplace grievances and investigations as required
  • Facilitate the development of consultative teams at centres and employee engagement actions
  • Coordinate training sessions and seminars
  • Assisting the HRBPs and Recruitment Specialist as required

About You

In addition to your proactive, can-do attitude, you will have:
  • HR, Business Administration or related qualification
  • Sound understanding of various HR software systems, WorkDay experience an advantage
  • Strong computer literacy and advanced Microsoft Suite.
  • Excellent telephone, verbal, and written communication skills
