About the role
The Intake Officer is responsible for the intake administration for new clients. This includes maintaining maximum occupancy rates and referrals for various funding streams such as Home Care Packages, National Disability Insurance Scheme, Commonwealth Home Support Program and Department Veteran Affairs.
You will be coordinating client assessments and developing strategies to address vacancies and responses to changes in program numbers. A high level of attention to detail and data accuracy is required to maintain data integrity.
This is a permanent full time opportunity based in Mount Waverley. Please note that due to current COVID-19 restrictions, you may be required to work from home.

What you bring
  • Experience in the aged and disability/community sector;
  • Experience and knowledge of the GoldCare system is desirable
  • Experience with data entry; referral management, portals and other referral media;
  • A current employer working with children check is highly desirable;
  • A current NDIS Workers Screening check, or willingness to obtain one is required;
  • Well-developed customer service skills;
  • Understanding of program targets and guidelines, reporting requirements and processes to comply with them;
  • Strong communication skills - both verbal and written;
  • Strong MS Office skills with the ability to learn new systems and adapt to a variety of client management systems;
  • An understanding and comprehension of medical terminology (experience in medical data administration or intake) or a relevant qualification would be highly regarded.
