About the role
The Administrative Officer is a valued member of the Calvary Mater Newcastle required to provide efficient and effective administrative support services in the Medical Centre Front Office in a team environment. The Administrative Officer is required to work accurately, with multiple systems and efficiently. All staff are required to provide excellent front line reception and customer service whilst maintaining confidentiality of all information. Professional presentation and conduct is required at all times.
The Medical Centre Front Office provides direct services to outpatients attending the hospital, staff associated with the service, and members of the public. The Administrative Officer is responsible for working between the main reception counter and the front office to: arrive patients, schedule outpatient appointments, register patients and update demographic details in the iPM system, process billing and prepare medical records.
The Administrative Officer is required to follow predefined procedures for work however exercising practical judgement at all times, and seeking assistance from Manager when required.

Desirable: Medicare billing experience.
Desirable: iPM and/or Aria systems experience.
