The Opportunity
Working independently as an Occupational Therapist in the community, you will be looking after a range of clients and your core responsibilities will likely include:
- Providing assessment and treatment to clients in their own homes including home modifications, functional assessments, neuro rehabilitation, assistive technology and equipment prescription
- Providing guidance and training on functional tasks
- Treating clients through short term restorative care programs, Commonwealth Home Care packages, privately funded clients and NDIS funding
- Creating individual client focused rehabilitation plans
- Manual Handling and education for carers and family members
- Consulting with medical professionals to develop care plans
We're open to considering people for fixed term contracts.
About you
You will likely be a registered member of AHPRA with Australian work rights. However, if you do not hold this registration but are qualified in Occupational Therapy (from a local or an overseas institute), we would still love to speak to you.
We have a genuine view to reablement and are looking for an Occupational Therapist who has a passion for providing high quality occupational therapy services through a collaborative client focused approach.
Your communication skills and interest in building long-term relationships will be the key to success in this role.
