JOB DESCRIPTION

SUMMARY OF THE ROLE: Exciting leadership opportunity for an experienced Lifestyle Coordinator to work with a well respected Not for Profit organisation. Develop & lead the Meaningful Lifestyle program in our beautiful Mercy Place Nixon Home.

  • Full time position available
  • Make a difference in aged care by coordinating a meaningful lifestyle program that overcomes boredom, inactivity, isolation and depression with our residents.
  • Create, facilitate and evaluate individual and group lifestyle programs to ensure that our residents have the best day possible each and every day.
  • Provide leadership, training and support to a team of Lifestyle Assistants and volunteers
  • You will be supported and guided by the Service Manager.

ABOUT YOU:

  • Do you have a person-centred care approach?
  • Support the goals of care for each resident by providing individual care plans
  • Design, implement & evaluate resident centred programs
  • A minimum of 12 months experience in a lifestyle or personal care role in an aged care environment
  • Certificate IV in Lifestyle and Leisure (Divisional Therapy), or similar
  • First Aid Level II certificate
  • Highly motivated and engaging personality with a desire to teach and make a difference within the home
  • Demonstrated leadership and communication skills and an excellent relationship-builder
  • Previous experience delivering recreational activities and the ability to work within a team
