Away from the bustle of Darwin CBD, Regis Tiwi aged care home is set amongst well-tended lawns and palm trees and also features verandas, sunny courtyards, a popular bbq area and a large shaded outdoor area.

Located just minutes from the beach, 5 minutes from the Casuarina Shopping Centre and is next to Dripstone Park. Regis Tiwi is a 135-bed facility offering single, double and shared rooms with en suites, along with contemporary furnishings and finishes, all with external patio access.

About the role

A position is available for a Maintenance Officer to join Regis Tiwi on a full time basis. Previous handyperson experience in a similar setting (Residential or Aged Care) will be highly regarded).

Duties & Responsibilities

Setting up of rooms and equipment, adhering to OH&S guidelines
Timely reporting
Grounds upkeep
Equipment and plant monitoring
Coordination of the Maintenance program
Preventative and corrective maintenance duties across the home

Skills & Experience

Current police clearance
Current First Aid / CPR Certificate
Occupational Health and Safety knowledge
Proven ability to work autonomously and manage own time
Excellent communication skills
Exceptional Maintenance / Handyperson skills

Mandatory requirements for all candidates

Valid National Police Check (Full disclosure or standard disclosure)
Proof of the right to work lawfully in Australia
Evidence that you have had the 2020 Flu Vaccination or willingness to complete this before employment can be offered (VIC & QLD currently exempt)*
