Job Description:

Position Title: Registered Nurse – Operating Theatres - Scrub/ Scout

Employment Type: Maximum Term Full Time Maternity Relief (up to December 2021)

Hours per week: 38 (Rotating roster)

Position Grade: Registered Nurse Year 1 to 8

Salary: $64,184.86 - $90,122.8 per annum plus superannuation

Enterprise Agreement: The Named NSW (Non-Declared) Affiliated Health Organisations’ Nurses Agreement, 2017

Position Summary:

A vacancy exists in the Operating Theatres for a highly motivated Registered Nurse with appropriate knowledge and skills to join our friendly and supportive Scrub Scout team. St Vincent’s Hospital is a major tertiary referral centre and has 9 Operating theatres for surgical specialties such as cardiothoracic, orthopaedics and neurosurgery.

Our progressive and innovative team offers development opportunities for our staff and a caring environment for the delivery of high quality patient centred care. The successful applicant(s) will be expected to work a full rotating roster, including weekends, afternoon shifts, some on-call and Night duty.

  • Currently registered as a Registered Nurse (Division 1) with the Australian Health Professionals Regulation Agency.

  • Demonstrated evidence of integration of theoretical knowledge and clinical skills, critical thinking and analysis in their daily practice as a registered nurse.

  • Demonstrated effective communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Demonstrated effective time management skills and ability to prioritise competing workloads with in a complex environment.

  • Demonstrated experience in acute care setting such as operating theatres or other relevant area
