JOB DESCRIPTION

We are currently looking for an Accounts Receivable Officer to join our Finance team based at our Head office in Armadale. Per the current COVID-19 restrictions, this will be a work from home position until advised otherwise.

As the Accounts Receivable officer, you will be responsible for the performance of general billing, credit and / or banking tasks for Regis. The role requires liaising directly with residents and residents’ families / guardians ensuring the accurate invoicing, timely collection and accurate reconciliation of resident accounts.

This role also requires the provision of services to Regis operational management and head office management by providing accurate resident information to support business needs.

Key Responsibilities Include-

  • Process cheques, Bpay, Direct credits, Direct debits as required and perform other related banking tasks
  • Resident accounts maintenance that includes setting up the account, monthly invoicing and regular database maintenance
  • Perform initial contact with residents or their families to arrange method of fee payments (e.g. direct debit) or bond collection
  • Review of fee / bond arrangements within resident agreements to ensure accuracy and compliance with Regis policies and legislation
  • Maintain and ensure integrity of credit collection process and that all cash receipts are processed accurately on a daily basis as received
  • Investigate root causes of overdue debtor / bond amounts
  • Follow up overdue fees / bonds on a timely basis and in accordance with Regis policies
  • Perform resident account reconciliations (i.e. reconciling the General Ledger to the Aged Debtor Trial Balance)
  • Maintenance of clear and concise computerised notes relating to the status of outstanding fees / bond collections
  • Ensure compliance with all required instructions, information and training to complete the job in a safe and productive manner
  • Work as an effective team player by sharing information and developing strong working relationships with team members to deliver successful outcomes

  • Demonstrated experience in a similar Accounts Receivable position
  • Experience working in aged care will be advantageous

  • Evidence that you have had the 2020 Flu Vaccination or willingness to complete this before employment can be offered*
  • Proof of the right to work lawfully in Australia
  • Valid National Police Check
  • The Australian Government has advised that all residential aged care staff and visiting workers should be vaccinated by 1 May 2020. This includes both current and future Regis employees.
