The role of Western Aged Care Assessment Service (ACAS) Manager is highly regarded within Western Health with management responsibility for 30 FTE. The role focuses upon staff growth and development, client outcomes and operational outcomes such as budget control, workforce recruitment and achievement of 'timeframe to care' key measures of success.
The work of Western ACAS is vital to ensure that those in need of both community services and residential care are accurately assessed and supported to make this transition in a timely and supported way. The team are a highly regarded senior multidisciplinary workforce in which client centred best practice is the key driver of success. The ACAS service operate from Footscray Hospital with staff members working within the inpatient setting and in the community undertaking the process of assessment of clients for Commonwealth supported programs.
To be Successful in this Role you
Are a Registered Nurse or Allied Health Professional
Have excellent communication skills both written and verbal
Have a comprehensive understanding of mandated KPIs for Assessment Organisations
Have comprehensive knowledge of the National Screening & Assessment Form and all machinations of its use
Have demonstrated experience of managing large teams and budgets in excess of $3M.
