Bay and Basin Community Resources (BBCR) has been providing community services since 1991 and due to an increase in demand for our services we are seeking to employ additional Aged Care Workers to provide assistance to older people that live independently in their own homes. We are seeking individuals who are compassionate and committed to enhancing the lives of individuals in our communities with skills and qualities to match.
Due to increasing demand from our consumers we are seeking to establish a team of Qualified Aged Care Workers that are specifically available to work afternoons and night shifts.
Necessary attributes:
· Reliability
· Strong communication skills
· Compassionate and Positive attitude
· Availability for a minimum of 3 shifts per week
· Assist with Medications competency unit
· Dementia specific training
Positions are based in the Nowra and the surrounding area. We have a variety of shift schedules available to suit individual needs.
This role involves visiting Clients in their own homes and/or at our respite Cottage facility. Services that may include:
· Personal care such as showering and other personal hygiene support
· Domestic assistance, such as basic housekeeping
· Meal preparation
· Respite
· Medication assistance
Applicants must hold (or obtain through recruitment process):
· Australian Federal Police clearance (no disclosable outcomes)
· Provide First Aid Certificate
· Minimum Cert III Individual Support (Ageing), or comparable qualification
· Drivers Licence, with safe driving record
· Current car registration & comprehensive insurance
· Working with Children Check Clearance
· Dementia specific training would be desirable
What we can offer:
· Minimum of 15 hours per week contract, with additional hours on offer based on employee availability - if you have full 5 day availability and fully flexible with days and times more hours can be secured.
