About the Opportunity
Live, Love Shine is Allity’s philosophy centered around living a lifestyle that is fun, fulfilling and above all, presents experiences to make every day the best it can be. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing a highly engaging variety of musical services to residents of different cognitive and physical abilities.
The successful candidate will be required to work 3 hours per week across the Home’s diverse resident base, including the Memory Support Neighbourhood. Time spent at the Home will include session set up and documentation on Allity’s Resident Management System.
About You
We are seeking someone with the following:
- Experience in and able to provide music therapy practice with a wide range of individuals and groups (including people living with dementia and other cognitive and physical impairments)
- Demonstrated commitment to teamwork and evidence of initiative, flexibility and reliability in a busy work environment
- Ability to work with a range of stakeholders including residents, families, and staff.
- High level of oral and written communication skills.
- Proficient at record keeping and computer work
- Proficient at playing a range of instruments
- Excellent singing abilities
Desirable:
- Completion of an accredited music therapy training program
- Current registration with the Australian Music Therapy Association
