About The Care Home

This Residential Aged Care facility located in Ballina, NSW is a beautiful care home set in the scenic seaside town of Ballina on the North Coast of NSW. The home offers residential, respite, palliative and specialised dementia care across 123 beds in the home. Our primary is goal is placing our focus on the health, lifestyle and well-being of our residents.

About the Role

Working as part of a team of empathetic and caring clinical professionals, you will be a Clinical Care Manager managing one of our communities in the home, supported by the General Manager and a Registered Nurse. You will have the additional assistance of Clinical Quality and Educational Consultants in the day to day care of residents. Working Monday to Friday, 9am to 5pm, you will make a positive impact on the lives of our residents with your compassionate and supportive approach that empowers our residents' choices and independence.

About The Role

Working as part of a team of empathetic and caring clinical professionals, you will manage all beds in this care home, supporting the General Manager in leading the clinical aspects and governance of the care home. You will be required to oversee ACFI, care planning, risk assessments, infection control and case conferences.


  • Oversee the daily clinical operations of the care home
  • Support and lead the care home clinical team including coaching, mentoring, staff allocations and delegation, performance management and education
  • Review clinical incidents, complaints and changes
  • Review, monitor and investigate risks
  • Lead compliance with ACFI assessments
  • Manage person-centred care planning and evaluation for residents. Including case conferencing with families and carers
  • Prepare and conduct clinical governance audits.
  • Oversee medication management in accordance with resident needs and legislative requirements
  • Liaise with allied health, medical practitioners and other services to provide optimal resident care

Skills and Experience

  • Bachelor of Nursing or Equivalent is essential
  • Post grad qualification in aged care highly regarded
  • Current AHPRA is essential
  • Experience managing a minimum of 50beds
  • Proven track record in delivering quality clinical care within an aged care or acute setting
  • Excellent clinical assessment skills and care planning capabilities
  • Highly effective communication, leadership and relationship management skills
  • An understanding of Resident Rights, Aged Care Accreditation Standards and Outcomes
