The Role

We are looking for a Support Coordinator servicing people who reside in the Toowoomba and the Darling Downs, who has a passion to assist NDIS participants to implement their plans in accordance with their goals and desired outcomes. The Support Coordinator will facilitate choice and control in accordance with the principles of the NDIS. We are committed to working together with our customers to empower them to live a better life and become active citizens in the community.

About You

  • Be highly motivated and possess a strong understanding of the NDIS and the purpose of support coordination
  • Hold a relevant tertiary qualification or appropriate disability specific qualification (Cert 4 or above) combined with a minimum five years’ experience in a relevant human services sector
  • Have well developed decision making and analytical skills
  • Demonstrate effective interpersonal and written communication skills including experience in enabling others to set goals and build capability and confidence
  • Strong networking skills and the ability to access community opportunities for the people you support and to grow your participant base
  • Ability to ensure mainstream services meet their obligations (i.e. housing, education, justice, health)
  • Hold a current Queensland Driver's Licence
  • Also hold a current Working with Children Check (Blue Card) and a positive notice for working with people with a disability (Yellow Card), or have the ability to apply for these.
