About the role

As our Hospitality Team Leader, you will be responsible for preparing and cooking high quality, nutritious meals for our residents with special dietary requirements. You will supervise and mentor a committed team of hospitality, cleaning & laundry staff, ensuring daily tasks are maintained according to operational guidelines.

About you

You have comprehensive understanding of legislation relevant to the industry plus knowledge and application of safe food hygiene practices. Your highly developed prioritisation, time management, leadership & problem solving techniques are just some of your strengths. You will enjoy working with the elderly and have empathy to their needs. If you are enthusiastic, reliable and work well in a team environment, this is an excellent opportunity for you.

Ideally you will have:

  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to motivate and drive a team to provide exceptional service;
  • A chef or trade cook qualification or equivalent;
  • Solid experience in the Aged Care industry is preferable, not essential as training is provided;
  • Practical knowledge of legislation relevant to hospitality services including demonstrated experience of operational achievement of accreditation standards;
  • Applied knowledge of catering procedure including cooking texture modified meals and thickened fluids;
  • Intermediate computer skills with the ability to use Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint.

Please note, all employees working within our residential and community aged care will need to be immunised for Influenza from 01/05/2020. If you have already received your flu vaccination, we ask that you provide proof as part of the recruitment process.
