JOB DESCRIPTION

We are a successful locally owned and operated water treatment equipment/chemical supplier with over 29 years of operating history. We are actively looking for a suitably qualified, experienced and self motivated Service Technician for our expanding service team.

Products we supply and service include reverse osmosis systems, all types of filtration, rain water reuse systems, water softeners, multi-media filters, UV systems, pumps, DAF's and chemical water treatment dosing systems.

Freshwater Systems is recognised as the leading Water Treatment Company in the South Australian servicing industries such as aged care, hospitals, schools, government sites, plumbing contractors, mining, general industry, commercial buildings, food & beverage, wastewater and agriculture/pastoral water supplies.

The Role

- Responsible for carrying out scheduled and unscheduled maintenance of commercial water treatment systems

- Providing breakdown service and repairs to water treatment equipment and plants

- Analysis and adjustment of water quality

- Installation and commissioning of new water treatment equipment/plants

- Providing technical information to clients in relation to all areas of chemical water treatment

- Maintain quality records and compliance documentation as require by management

Qualifications, Experience and Essential skills required:

- Current experience as a service technician within the water treatment industry is highly desirable

- Knowledge of water treatment chemical and chemistry will be highly regarded

- Demonstrated ability to work independently with a focus on organization and compliance

- Flexibility to be able to work overtime when required

- Availability for on call roster.

- Attention to detail, timely completion of reports and adherence to safe work procedures

- Basic computer skills and knowledge of MS Office software and experience with Aroflo or similar electronic service

based program

- Willingness to work in regional areas and Interstate when required.

- Identify, report, and resolve service outcomes on site

- Ability to trouble shoot with different plant and equipment for fault finding

- Current driver’s license is essential

- White Card an advantage

- Electrical/ Plumbing Licences or Certificate III in Water Operations are highly desirable.

- Police clearance / DCSI Clearance
