About the role
The Chronic Pain Clinic and the Cognitive Dementia and Memory Service are seeking to employ an enthusiastic and experienced Allied Health Assistant.
The Allied Health Assistant (AHA) will work across both the Chronic Pain Clinic and the Cognitive Dementia and Memory Service. The role will work as an active member of the multidisciplinary teams which is inclusive of a clinical coordinator (nursing), medical specialist, physiotherapy, dietetics, social work, occupational therapy, clinical psychology, exercise physiologist and enrolled nurse.
The Allied Health Assistant assists health professionals to deliver client centred services across clinic based and home environments. The role involves completing a variety of direct and indirect clinical and administrative tasks.
We are looking for
  • Grade 2: Certificate III in Allied Health Assistance or similar qualification
  • Minimum of 12 months experience working as an Allied Health Assistant in either a hospital, aged care or community setting.
  • Excellent interpersonal and verbal communication skills

  • Essential : Good organisational skills with the ability to prioritise and manage a diverse workload
  • Essential : Good computer literacy skills
  • Essential : A satisfactory National Criminal History Record Check, Victorian 'Employee' Working with Children Check and completion of a Commonwealth of Australia Statutory Declaration will be required from prospective candidates prior to commencement of employment.
