About the role
An opportunity exists for two Environmental Services Workers to join our team at our Fassifern Aged Care Service. You will be responsible for working and assisting in a variety of areas including main kitchen, kitchenette's, serveries, bed rooms, dining rooms, laundry & cleaning. Your role will be varied but centred on activities such as:
- Contributing to a clean, safe and comfortable environment for residents, visitors and staff to improve the quality of life for residents;
- Assisting with the preparation of meals and maintenance of the cleanliness of the kitchen and equipment;
- Help with serving of meals, including setting up and cleaning the dining room, trolleys and trays;
- Laundry duties including sorting, washing, drying, folding and distribution of linen and resident clothing.
Within this role, you must be willing to work a variety of shifts including AM, PM and weekend shifts.
About you
You are an enthusiastic reliable worker, who enjoys being a team player, yet can work autonomously. You will be a hands-on individual looking for diversity in a role. Additionally we are looking for a competent driver, who is comfortable operating a small food truck.
Your experience and qualifications for this role ideally, should include:
- Experience in working in kitchens, preferably within the Aged Care industry;
- Experience in operating equipment associated with cleaning and laundry;
- Certificate II in Cleaning Operations and/or Certificate II in Kitchen Operations or similar is desirable, not essential;
- Only people with Australian work rights are able to apply for this position;
- Willingness to work a variety of shifts, across a 7 day week, with availability at short notice.
- Current driver's licence.
Please note, all employees working within our residential and community aged care will need to be immunised for Influenza from 01/05/2020. If you have already received your flu vaccination, we ask that you provide proof as part of the recruitment process.
