About the Role
Monash Health Refugee Health and Wellbeing is seeking and experienced Mental Health Clinician/ Counsellor with a background in Psychology or Social Work who can provide comprehensive counselling services to patients of refugee background. This part time position is primarily located at Monash Health Community Dandenong, however movement across sites may be required into the future.
About You
You have experience in working therapeutically with communities/individuals with the poorest health outcomes, including newly arrived asylum seekers and refugees. A commitment to multidisciplinary team work and an understanding of the Social Model of Health is mandatory, as is an interest in contemporary refugee health and an appreciation of the complex health needs of this particular client group.
If you can also demonstrate the ability to work autonomously and as part of a team, and possess strong organisational and communication skills, this role could be for you.
