The Location

Located right on Brisbane's doorstep, this is one of Australia's most diverse holiday destinations. Fringed by Moreton Bay, the area extends from Brisbane's outer suburbs to the white sandy beaches of North Stradbroke Island, where it meets the majestic South Pacific Ocean

The region includes the sub-tropical Coochiemudlo Island and the tranquil, secluded Bay Islands of Russell, Lamb, Macleay and Karragarra. Situated within an hour of Brisbane and the Gold Coast, the area is easily accessible for day trips and longer stays.

The Hospital

This is 148 bed level four secondary hospital which is co-located with a 60 bed Private Hospital, Health Service Centre, 126-bed high care residential aged care facility and community mental health service. The ED and Paediatrics department have recently undergone a multimillion dollar upgrade so the facilities are extremely modern with the most up to date equipment.

The hospital offers the following specialist services; Paediatrics, level two special care nursery, obstetrics, gynaecology, emergency medicine, general surgery, general rehabilitation, orthopaedics, general (internal) medicine, cardiology, renal dialysis, and sundry other visiting speciality outpatient clinics

The Role

We are looking for a doctor with at least twelve months emergency medicine experience to join this highly experienced team. This is an unaccredited PHO/Registrar role although some of the time spent here could count towards the ACEM training if you join the specialist training program.
