ABOUT THE ROLE

We are seeking candidates with extensive kitchen & cleaning experience working within an aged care or hospital environment to fill 2 permanent part-time positions. 

The successful candidate must be able to commit to the entire roster with all the shifts included of either role 1 or 2. 

Role 1 - 53.2hrs fortnight

Week 1

Monday 0700-1515
Tuesday 0700-1515
Wednesday 0700-1515
Thursday 0700-1515

Week 2

Monday 0700-1515
Tuesday 0700-1515
Wednesday 0700-1515

Role 2 - 36.75hrs fortnight - All Kitchen shifts

Week 1

Wednesday 0900-1300 & 1400-2000
Saturday 0900-1300
Sunday 0900-1300

Week 2

Wednesday 0900-1300
Thursday 0900-1415 
Saturday 0900-1300
Sunday 0900-1300

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Prepare and serve meals to residents and provide assistance in the kitchen
  • Prepare and clean the dining area prior to and after meal services
  • Cleaning of the kitchen and kitchen utensils (dishes, cutlery etc.)
  • Working as part of a team to ensure all tasks are completed each shift
  • Building rapport and liaising with residents and their families

ABOUT YOU

Essential Criteria:

  • Minimum of 12 months’ experience working in a kitchen hand role in an aged care or hospital environment
  • Experience working with people with Dementia (desirable)
  • Competent time management skills and ability to work in line with routines and schedules
  • Ability to provide a National Police Clearance less than 6 months old, or a receipt at interview stage
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • The ability to pass a pre-employment physical assessment and reference checks
