JOB DESCRIPTION

Peninsula Health are currently seeking an Administrative Assistant to provide support to the Rehabilitation, Aged Care, Palliative and Persistent Pain Service (RAPPS), and work with the other administrative personnel in RAPPS to ensure smooth running of operation of the overall service. This position is to provide Junior Medical Staff workforce support for 56 hrs per fortnight, with some overlap in duties as required from time to time. The Administrative Assistant plays a vital role in the Departments day to day functions and in ensuring the effective and efficient running of the department. This position facilitates effective communication and provides a positive profile for RAPPS within Peninsula Health and externally.

What You Will Be Doing

• Work closely with the Medical Workforce Unit and other relevant parties to manage operational administrative requirements for Junior Medical Staff.
• Provide day-to-day support for Junior Medical Staff
• Assist Heads of Units in developing, updating and disseminating junior medical staff rosters
• Assist in leave cover for other administrative staff in RAPPS

What You Need

We anticipate you will have:
Essential Criteria
• Demonstrated experience at appropriate administrative level
• Experience in Diary Management
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, Outlook)
• Experience with staff rostering

Desirable Criteria

• Completion of Medical Terminology Course
• Demonstrated relevant experience in Medical Administration
• Successful completion of a certificate III Business Administration/Secretarial or other relevant course.
