Due to an internal promotion Mercy Community have a Full-time permanent position working Monday to Friday for an ACFI Coordinator to join our team in Nudgee.

In this role, reporting to the Facility Manager you will be responsible for implementing, monitoring, and developing the systems and processes to manage and maximise aged care funding (ACFI) from the consumer’s entry to the residence.


  • Maintain and conduct aged care funding (ACFI) assessments to maximise funding and achieve best outcomes while working closely with both management and care staff.
  • Ensure all mandatory aged care funding (ACFI) submissions are made in a timely manner, with no defaults.
  • Enter and validate all aged care funding (ACFI) data into the Clinical Management System and monitor expiry dates, annual reviews and new admissions.
  • Maintain current aged care funding (ACFI) knowledge and share information with the continuous delivery of training and education to all care staff, including day-to-day guidance and support
Skills & Experience
  • Demonstrated understanding and knowledge regarding the aged care funding framework and experience achieving aged care funding (ACFI) revenue targets.
  • Registered Nurse, Enrolled Nurse or Allied Health Professional with AHPRA registration desirable.
  • Experience in evaluating workplace practices against accreditation standards, quality systems and organisational policies and procedures.
  • Detailed working knowledge of the Aged Care Quality Standards, the Aged Care regulatory environment including the Aged Care Act 1997 and associated legislation and principles.
  • Demonstrated high level ability to use computer IT systems including electronic Care management System (CMS), MS Work and Excel
  • Ability to obtain positive notice in the NDIS Worker Screening and legislatively required personal history screening as required
