The opportunity
Silver Chain have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Therapy Assistant to join our diverse and dynamic team in Bunbury. You will be supporting the Bunbury area and surrounding suburbs. The role will see you undertake rehabilitation, correctional and physical activities as directed by Nursing and/or Allied Health Professional to meet client needs. This role is a casual opportunity offering and we are looking for staff with availability to work hours Monday - Friday starting from 8.00am.
Key responsibilities
Assist with allied health programs for clients in the home, within the scope of ability and training to meet client needs.
Communicate with team regarding care provided to clients on an ongoing basis to ensure activities and care provided is consistent with changing client needs.
Identify areas for ongoing training and development.
Maintain confidentiality of information
About you
Cert III in Allied Health Assistance as a minimum
Demonstrated experience in aged care activities and/or speech/mobility/occupational and/or cognitive therapies.
A current Australian Driver’s Licence.
Current Senior First Aid Certificate desirable but not essential
Well Developed communication, time management and organisational skills.
Under the Aged Care act 1997, successful candidates will be required to provide a satisfactory National Police Clearance prior to commencement.

Selection Criteria Essential: Do you hold a full (not on P or L plates) C Class drivers licence?
Essential: Do you have a reliable, registered motor vehicle for work purposes?
Essential: Do you hold a Certificate III or IV in Allied Health Assistance? If no, please list your relevant community-based experience relevant to the role.
Essential: How many months / years’ experience do you have working in community care? (example 36 months/3 years)
Essential: What is your availability to work across Monday to Friday? (example Mon - Thu 7am - 3pm)
Essential: Are you currently on a working visa? If yes, please provide details of the sub-class.
