The T-Basis team at Tamworth Hospital currently has casual opportunities available for passionate Assistants in Nursing who are seeking an opportunity to develop their skills within a supportive and experienced team. 

The T-Basis team is a strong, nursing-led team which provides care and interventions to those who are suffering from the behavioural and psychological symptoms of dementia. The close-knit team works together toward a shared goal of providing excellent patient care to their patients. Specialising in the field of Behavioural and Psychological Symptoms of Dementia, the T-Basis team assists in the assessment and formulation of a treatment and intervention plan for patients and ensures that patients and their families leave the service with more education, supports and control around their care plan. They work closely with a number of stakeholders within the New England community and provide a specialist service across Hunter New England. 

Our successful candidate is an individual who is kind, caring and gentle that values respect, inclusiveness and innovation in their nursing practice. You will be passionate about providing aged care to your community and will enjoy working with patients and the team in a fun, caring and supportive environment. If you are a nursing student and studying toward becoming a Registered Nurse, our team can also assist you with learning key nursing skills which will be pivotal in your career. You will be supported in this position by mentorship and guidance provided by the unit's senior and experienced staff including the Nurse Unit Manager and the Clinical Nurse Consultant.

To be eligible for employment in these roles you must be: an Australian Citizen, or a permanent resident of Australia, or a New Zealand citizen with a current New Zealand Passport, or a citizen of another country with an appropriate visa that allows you to work in Australia. 

If you currently hold a temporary visa that allows you to live and work in Australia you may only be offered employment in line with the conditions and expiry date of your visa.
