About SEPHU
The South East Public Health Unit (SEPHU) is a newly established unit working to prevent and respond to the spread of COVID-19 in the south-east suburbs of Melbourne. In the future, the unit will likely play a pivotal role in the broader aspects of public health. The unit is based at Monash Medical Centre, Clayton, but will operate across the south-east of Melbourne.
The objectives of SEPHU are:
- To act locally with speed, agility and authority
- To swiftly identify people with COVID-19 who live and/or work in our catchment
- To rapidly contact and interview people with COVID-19
- To identify and give quarantine advice to their close contacts
- To identify and manage outbreaks in the catchment
- To provide local and appropriate support to people isolating or in quarantine
- Localise case and outbreak prevention
- Case identification and notification
- Individual case management
- Contact tracing
- Outbreak and incident management
- Case clearance and de-isolation

About You:
The Project Officer will have proven successful experience:
- in project management, process redesign;
- change management and stakeholder engagement in a health care setting;
- with the ability to build positive relationships at all levels of an organisation and ability to actively listen to the needs of stakeholders in order to deliver on time, within scope and within budget;
- proven capability to deliver project outcomes; and
- proven experience using various computer software including MS SharePoint, MS Visio and database use.
