About the role
The Hospital Assistant works within a multidisciplinary team to provide clinical and technical support to the team, requiring a good level of manual handling knowledge and skills.
Reporting to Level 2 Registered Nurses and the Nurse Unit Manager, the role is suited to a friendly, enthusiastic and motivated team player looking to support and provide ancillary services within the Operating Theatre at St Johns campus of Calvary Health Care Tasmania in Hobart.
The successful candidate will have a thorough understanding of the peri-operative environment, and be a pro-active and dynamic individual looking to provide a strong level of support to patients, colleagues and the wider multidisciplinary team.
The St Johns campus is located in the foothills of Mount Wellington within easy walking distance of the city centre. Free onsite or nearby car parking is readily available and staff can access generous salary packaging options
This is a permanent part time (0.8 FTE) opportunity, with Casual options also available.

- Similar experience from a previous role
Excellent time management and organisational skills
Sound communication skills – verbal and interpersonal
Proven experience in a customer service capacity
Demonstrated experience working in a team environment
Has undertaken or is willing to undertake Manual Handling training
