Support Worker
Location: Wanneroo

We are recruiting for a 20 year old male client who has muscular dystrophy. The role is suitable for those who like to use their skills and passions to improve the quality of life for people with disabilities. Your mindset needs to be one where nothing is too much trouble and you’ll be happy to support your client with all of life’s basic activities including bathing, dressing, eating and toileting. Further activities will include social support and community outings.

• Working in partnership with the client, their family and the team to provide quality well-rounded support

• That they have an excellent command of both written and spoken English
• Good personal presentation

Skills & Experience
You are also required to have:

• Certificate III (or higher) in a related community care field or current healthcare studies
• Current First Aid certificate
• National Police Clearance (less than 12 months old)
• Current Manual Handling certificate
• Hand Hygiene certificate
• Certificate of Completion for NDIS Worker Orientation Module
• Current Drivers Licence and a roadworthy vehicle that is registered and insured
• Completed Department of Health COVID-19 infection control training (online)
• NDIS Screening Check
• Previous employment in disability or aged care support work will be highly regarded
