About this opportunity:


Our client is seeking an Administration Officer for a 4 month casual placement (potential for extension), 38 hours a week, Monday to Friday.

While health/aged care experience would be an advantage, general administrative experience is more highly sought.


This role exists to provide comprehensive administrative support to the Director and a busy team of complaints staff to assist with the efficient operation of the team. To work as a team with support officers in other states as required.


This position will start ASAP for the right candidate. The role is based out of their head office in BRISBANE CBD.

In this role you will be responsbile for:

  • Assisting the Director to prepare for meetings and appointments by providing intelligence and arranging for the necessary documents prior to the meeting
  • Providing high level administrative support to the Director and visiting Executive , including managing stakeholder requirements and expectations, room bookings and other support needed for meetings, including taking minutes and scribing as required
  • Providing administrative support to the team including maintaining stationery, managing access to vehicles and laptops, assistance with travel and credit card processing
  • Coordinating arrangements for training and meetings, including arranging room bookings, materials and catering
  • Maintaining timely and accurate records on various IT systems
  • Supporting the Intake Team with adhoc tasks.

Capabilities:

  • Demonstrated organisational skills at a high level to provide day to day administrative support to Executives
  • Knowledge, or the ability to quickly acquire knowledge of the role and functions of the Commission to support business priorities
  • Demonstrated ability to work in productive partnership to optimise performance and achieve business results
  • Ability to work with broad supervision, and to identify priorities to meet competing deadlines.
  • Effective written communication skills, including the ability to draft various forms of documents and correspondence, and concisely summarise information
  • Ability to communicate with influence and work collaboratively to resolve complex issues
