We are currently on the lookout for a Junior-to-Mid-Level Front End Engineer with React experience to join our client’s growing development team.

This is a full-time position located in their Brisbane office.

With over 30 years’ experience managing large aged care facilities across Australia, our client is a well-established and highly regarded company in the process of developing some exciting new products. They are looking for a React Front End Engineer who can help take their digital platform to the next level.

In your role as a Front End Engineer, you play an active supporting role in developing highly responsive, robust and maintainable user interface components using React as your key tech stack. This is your opportunity to be a part of this exciting growth journey.

• Develop responsive, robust, and maintainable user interface components using React
• Develop and implement flexible, well structured front end architecture for our new products
• Document accurate estimation of work items
• Build robust unit tests for the front end codebase, as part of the development process
• Troubleshoot support issues and bug fixing
• Use consistent standards and adhere to best practice as per the team’s agreed development processes
• Understand user stories for the successful implementation of functionality
• Liaise with end users as required to seek understanding of bugs, demonstrate what you are working on or to clarify user stories
• Take direction from Senior and Lead Engineers as required

• Tertiary qualifications in Computer Science, IT or related field
• 2-3 years’ experience in software engineering
• Experience with headless applications on complex, large-scale projects will be highly regarded
• Brownie points for experience with Docker, Redux, Hooks and Context API
• Solid understanding of good Gitflow practices
• Test-driven development/ behaviour driven development
• Excellence communication skills, with the ability to communicate to both technical and non-technical audiences
• Strong team player commitment to quality
• Natural ability to understand client requirement and how they translate to new application features
• Proven experience of agile development practices
