JOB DESCRIPTION

Mercy Community have a Permanent Full-time position for an experienced Student and Volunteer Coordinator to join our team based in Nudgee.

In this role you will be responsible for supporting the organisation with coordination and administration of systems for students and volunteers as part of their tertiary studies, TAFE or work experience. You will work closely with all parts of the business, including NDIS, Aged Care and the Families & Young People Service. Your role will include:

Providing direction, coordination and consultation for all volunteer and student functions.

  • Maintaining, monitoring and recording student placement documentation.
  • Ensuring student and volunteer probity documentation is completed and submitted in a timely manner.
  • Acting as a key liaison between universities and the business to ensure all student documentation is correct and students are placed in the correct business divisions.
  • Managing the timely production of placement information and documentation to students.
  • Assisting in arranging recruiting, screening, interviewing and training of new volunteers and students.
  • Drive a talent pipeline approach to student placement with an eye on conversion to employment.

About you…

You will have a strong background in administration support with your previous experience including an excellent understanding of both volunteer systems and student placement processes. You will have:

  • At least 2 years’ experience in an administration support role
  • Demonstrated and accurate Microsoft Office and data entry skills
  • The ability to build strong stakeholder relationships and deliver high levels of customer service
  • Strong time management, organisation, problem-solving and written/verbal communication skills
  • Experience in a similar role preferred

The successful candidate will also be required to obtain a positive notice in the Working with Children Check (Blue Card) and any other legislatively required personal history screening as required.
