 ABOUT THE ROLE:

Join the Multidisciplinary Team at The Mercy Hospital for Women in a leadership position in our 12 funded bed Birthing Services Unit. As AMUM, you will have the opportunity to utilise your excellent clinical experience and expertise in a leadership role as you manage the day to day clinical area and mentoring of midwifery staff on your shift.

  • Permanent part time position - 0.6 EFT
  • Birthing Services Unit, Mercy Hospital for Women, Heidelberg
  • Contribute to and support the strategic direction and management within maternity services
  • Provide positive leadership, support the nursing and midwifery team and work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team
  • Promote women centered care

ABOUT YOU:

  • Registered Midwife with current AHPRA registration
  • Current birthing suite experience, excellent clinical and communication skills and have demonstrated leadership qualities
  • Current level 3 RANZCOG FSEP status
  • Current credentialing for IV cannulation insertion, speculum examination and perineal suturing
  • Able to work all days and across all shifts on a rotating roster
  • Have excellent time management skills and effectively communicate to all stakeholders

We are a major teaching hospital and specialist referral centre with the medical, nursing, midwifery and allied health expertise to treat the most complex obstetric, neonatal and gynaecological cases.
