JOB DESCRIPTION

Support Worker - Girrawheen - 3 hours per day (morning shifts)

Are you someone who wants to make a difference in the lives of others?

Do you have some time available in the morning that would enable you to support adults with disability in their 20s through to early 40s?

We are keen to engage local support workers for our customers who live in our newly opened contemporary accommodation in Girrawheen.

Our customers require support to assist them daily from 7am-10am, and therefore this role may be suitable for people who are only available to work during these times, or who would like to work these shifts and have the ability to work additional hours in other settings.

You might be a student, have existing commitments to other activities that would make this role ideal for you, or you may be interested in support work on a part-time basis.

The role will require you to:

  • Provide support with personal care and day to day activities
  • Maintain a welcoming home environment
  • Support person-centred plans that identify a customer’s life goals and help them to work towards achieving their desired outcomes
  • Ensure positive behaviour support plans are followed
  • Drive modified vehicles to accompany to appointments and social events
  • Complete daily recordings.

Now is an exciting time to join Rocky Bay. We are a leading provider of disability support services, offering choice and independence to thousands of Western Australians of all ages living with a disability and we are growing rapidly which can lead to career progression opportunities.

Importantly, don’t let lack of experience deter you from applying for this role. You may have transferrable skills from health or aged care environments, or be completely new to this type of work. We are looking for individuals who have the right values and attributes needed to support people with disability. We provide full training and induction to ensure that you have the skills and knowledge required to support our customers.
