The Opportunity:
20 minutes from Perth CBD!
ACEM accredited training facility
Full time to commence 2021

Our client is seeking an experienced Emergency Medicine Registrar to join their team on a full time, fixed term basis.

Emergency Department:
  • 75,000 presentations per year with an admission rate of approximately 30%.
  • New 48-bed department
  • Consultant-lead (FACEM) team-based care.
  • Excellent, varied case-mix providing a broad clinical experience, including paediatrics, obsetrics and gynaecology.
Training Opportunities:
  • Accredited for 18 months Emergency Medicine with ACEM.
  • Paediatric log book accredited.
  • Designated non-clinical FACEMs Monday to Friday to supervise WBAs.
  • 4 hours weekly protected teaching time.
  • ACEM Primary and Fellowship Exam preparation programs.
  • Regular non-clinical time to participate in departmental activities.
  • One-on-one bedside ultrasound teaching by a certified Sonographer to gain skills in AAA and eFAST and fulfil CCPU requirements.
  • Access to non-ED rotations including anaesthetics, intensive care, paediatrics and general medicine.
  • Opportunity to attend courses including Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP), ALS 2, PRactical Obstetric Multi-Professional Training course (PROMPT) and biannual accredited Ultrasound Course.


The Facility:
A major 367-bed Hospital, with the Public facility comprising of 307 and the co-located Private facility, 60 beds. Its key services include; emergency department, critical care unit, day chemotherapy unit, aged care and stroke ward, maternity ward, mental health unit, and surgical and medical wards.

With a strong commitment to inter-disciplinary learning and excellent access to medical technology and a broad array of specialist inpatient colleagues, the hospital places a large emphasis on one on one or small group training and the value of educational experience.

AHPRA registered with relevant experience
ACEM Trainees
SIMG assessed as comparable by ACEM.
