About the role

Contract and Casual roles available - ASAP Start

You will be responsible for providing the full range of Speech Pathology services and support to our clients in the community, residential aged care settings and those supported by the NDIS.

The role includes, but is not limited to:

  • Completing assessments and reviews
  • Establishing client-specific goals and designing effective individualised programs
  • Assess and diagnose swallowing and communication difficulties in adults
  • Contribute to the improvement of mealtime for clients with swallowing difficulties
  • Support clients with communication difficulties to access support to communicate more effectively
  • Collaborate and support clients, families, and staff to ensure client care needs and goals are being supported
  • Completing assessment reports and care plans with reviews and updates as needed
  • Communicate and collaborate with a multi-disciplinary team to provide holistic care and support

Skills and experience

  • Tertiary level qualification in Speech Pathology
  • Certified Practicing Speech Pathology Australia membership
  • Friendly demeanour and strong communication skills
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills
  • A demonstrated commitment and passion for promoting the quality of life of the elderly
  • Ability to think creatively, develop programs and implement systems
  • FULL and Unlimited working rights in Australia
