About the role
Within the framework of the mission, vision, values, philosophy and policies of the Calvary, the Personal Assistant is responsible for providing administrative support to the Staff Specialists and the Department of Medical Oncology.

  • Demonstrated competence in secretarial, administrative and general office procedures.
  • Proven ability to work unsupervised, prioritise work schedules and meet competing deadlines, demonstrating proficient organisational & multi-tasking skills.
  • Demonstrated computer literacy, including proficient use of Outlook and all Microsoft Office applications.

Essential: Demonstrated competence in secretarial, administrative and general office procedures.
Essential: Proven ability to work unsupervised, prioritise work schedules and meet competing deadlines, demonstrating proficient organisational & multi-tasking skills.
Essential: Demonstrated computer literacy, including proficient use of Outlook and all Microsoft Office applications.
Essential: Demonstrated ability to work effectively as a member of a multidisciplinary team, including a willingness to be flexible to meet the needs of the work environment.
Essential: Demonstrated minimum typing speed of 60 words per minute.
Essential: Proven ability to use initiative & work proficiently in periods of high demand & activity.
Essential: Proven experience working with standard operating procedures & adhering to organisational guidelines.
Essential: Commitment to the Mission, Vision and Values of Calvary with the ability and desire to uphold these principles.
Desirable: Demonstrated medical terminology (certificate holder and/or demonstrated relevant work experience) and typing skills with demonstrated Dictaphone skills.
Desirable: Demonstrated experience in hospital based information technology or willingness to learn i.e. iPIMS, ARIA, Auslab, CAP, etc.
