Purpose of the Position
Working as part of the CVS Volunteers team, the Volunteer Officer is responsible for ensuring the effective and efficient delivery of our Community Visitor Scheme (CVS) program. The Volunteer Officer works to ensure that volunteer and client engagement and administration is successfully undertaken to ensure CBCHS meet all its strategic, legislative compliance and funding obligations related to volunteers. This position operates within a variety of settings including CBCHS centres, clients’ home, aged care facilities and community based locations.
This is fixed term, part time (0.5 EFT) opportunity until March 2022.

Key Responsibilities
Some of the key deliverables of this role include:
Actively engage with volunteers to ensure quality matches and funded visitor targets are met;
Actively seek client referrals by promoting CVS to a board range of stakeholders;
Maintain positive working relationships with all CVS stakeholders including with clients, volunteers, Residential Aged Care staff and Home Care Package Providers;
Coordinate the recruitment, training, orientation and exiting of volunteers by undertaking appropriate administrative and compliance functions in accordance with CBCHS and CVS guidelines.
Key Selection Criteria
About You
You will be a passionate professional with exceptional organisational, planning and time management skills. Your great communication skills will see you build relationships with a wide range of stakeholders. You will be experienced in working with volunteers or in Human Resources and have an awareness of the impacts of loneliness and social isolation on older persons. Your adaptability, and strength in working both autonomously and in a team environment will allow you to thrive in this position.
